Reflect on the following questions:

  • Have I experienced God's love in my life?

  • Do I actively practice my Catholic faith?

  • Do I participate in some form of ministry in my parish
    or local community?

  • Do I desire a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ?

  • Do I like working with people and do I get along
    with men and women from all walks of life?

  • Does the example of St. Francis of Assisi excite me?

  • Does the Gospel message excite me?  Am I
    searching for a way to share my gifts and talents with
    others?

  • Do I sense a call from God to some specific walk of
    life (but not quite sure)?
If you have said yes to some of these questions, you should:
  1. Pray for understanding of God's word in your life.
  2. Have a personal meeting with one of the Vocation staff, no strings attached, to ask
    questions and get honest feedback.
  3. Speak to someone - a priest, deacon, sister, brother, or lay person experienced in
    the spiritual life to help you discern your vocation.
  4. Get involved in your parish community in forms of service.
  5. Become part of the Capuchin Discernment Program.
  6. Keep in touch with the friars - visit and speak with them often.

The word "Vocation" comes from the Latin word "Vocara" which
means "to call".  God call each one of us to Himself according to
the Way - Jesus Christ but within different life styles.  If you are a
single Catholic male between the ages of 18 and 40, enjoy good
physical and mental health, completed a high school education,
